There are foods that contain lots of additives like nitrates that you usually take from diet sodas for instance. Limit the consumption during pregnancy so that no chemicals should pass through the placenta and harm your baby.
Moderation is probably the best way to describe pregnancy nutrition at its best. Even if you have some of your favorite sweets once in a while or a diet soda, you should not use them as part of your daily diet. The fetus or the baby is very fragile and lots of food toxins can prevent the proper growth in the womb.
