Does anyone know anything about skin tags?
Dec 1I am getting a lot of skin tags. Mainly around my neck, but I have a few in other places too, and I notice I have a tiny one on my eye lid and a couple more little ones around my eyes. Does anyone know what causes you to get those and how you would get rid of them.

I know it’s more common in women than men. They are benign skin tumors, won’t affect your health negatively…but I know they aren’t too pretty to look at. My mom got skin tags during all of her pregnancies due to the changes in hormone levels. Some of my friends also got skin tags during their pregnancies (I will probably get them too eventually!) For men, it has a lot to do with genetics and age. As you grow older, you may see an increase in skin tags because it’s in your genes.
For removal, the safe bet is seeing a dermatologist. They have different methods of removing it like freezing, cutting, or burning it off. My mom’s doctor used the freezing method. As for my friend, her tag was on her armpit and she tied a thread around at the base of the skin tag and after a few days, it fell off. I guess the thread cut off the circulation. But your skin tags are around your eyes so please consult with a doctor.
