If your mother's skin is blistering where the skin tags were removed, it means that live tissue was affected during the freezing process, and is now trying to heal itself. The good news is that she will probably have no scars as a result of the procedure. The bad news is... blisters hurt!

Keep the blistered skin areas clean and dry, as you would for a blister in any other location. If the area is raw, apply a moisturizing wound ointment such as Aquaphor, and cover the area with a sterile bandage until healed.

Good question, Sevin. Maybe the stress today is a completely different type of stress. Times have changed significantly and with the times, the methods of dealing with personal stress have also changed. There were, generally, larger families in those days and the children were used to assist with the household chores, etc. It was almost unheard of for women to work outside the home. As I said...different type of stress altogether would be my guess.

there's a product you can buy that basically burns them off (like dry ice does)- it's over-the-counter so just go to a drugstore and get it

Skin or cutaneous tags are tiny pieces of skin that stick out of the body. They're basically harmless and appear as people age. Its a normal occurance in all people, but are more common amongst women.

I got a few on my areola. I thought it was sun damage originally because I used to tan a lot so I went to see my doctor about it.
She told me it's common in pregnant and breastfeeding women. It's a skin tag like you'd get anywhere else, they're just brown because of the higher content of melanin in that region of your anatomy at the time of pregnancy.
I had it biopsied by the way, because I'm weird about that stuff, and she was right, just a skin tag.

No it doesn't work. you'd need to get it removed or tie fishing wire tightly around it until it drops off.
